At the Center for Healing Neurology, based in Seattle, we believe integrative medicine, an approach that combines traditional and alternative care, best addresses the root causes of disease and creates a clear path to optimal neurological health.
As board-certified physicians, we use traditional or allopathic medicine that is founded on evidence-based research through rigorous randomized control trials. Our team carefully decides which conventional neurological treatments and procedures we use in our practice. Some of these services include pharmaceuticals, infusions, diagnostic care, non-invasive procedures, and imaging techniques.
Although alternative medicine is less rigorously tested, when used with expertise, it can help manage the side effects of disease and conventional treatments as well as help guide the body back to its natural state of balance. Our team uses many forms of traditional medicine including acupuncture, herbal formulations, nutritional guidance, supplementation, neurofeedback, and biocranial therapy. We also refer for hypnotherapy and highly beneficial therapeutic services.
Our priority is your happiness, health, and longevity, and we believe the best way to achieve this is through a thoughtful combination of traditional and alternative medical services.

Our food and dietary choices do not always provide all the nutrients, vitamins, and elements we need for optimal wellness. Broad approaches such as multi-vitamins are generally not effective since they do not contain proper dosages, but supplementation that is targeted to the symptom or disease can help maintain balance. We will guide you towards more targeted supplementation for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
Toxicology and De-toxification
Our world can be toxic and this can lead to sub-optimal health and wellbeing. While a former contractor with the EPA, Dr. Ruhoy’s doctoral dissertation researched pharmaceutical residues in our waters and her follow-up paper addressed optimal prescribing by physicians to reduce risk of exposure. She applies this knowledge when considering how a patient’s environment is contributing to their symptoms.
