  • We start healing in whatever shoes we currently stand, and we are all capable, and actually hungry, for growth. By diving deep and reviewing a whole life history, we can get at the underlying root causes of distress (mental, physical, social and spiritual) and resolve them at their core. This is transformative medicine done from joining the lenses of conventional (‘western’) medicine, functional medicine, and ancient Ayurveda, the traditional medicine system of India. Treatment plans are collaboratively determined; when a person finds their own resilience and direction, revolution is limitless. Our health can be our most valuable asset and a determinant for our liberation. We rise and/or fall together. I’m here in service to better health for all of us.

  • Dr. Gillian Ehrlich wasn’t initially interested in medicine. She spent seven years teaching outdoor education, mostly in wooden boats with adolescents, traveling for 12-days at a time in the islands of the Pacific Northwest. She learned a lot about health and the power of being active, outside, and having purpose and community to inspire the behavioral choices that create health- but she didn’t see a lot of this in the practice of medicine.

Her introduction to Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1999, changed that for good. Ayurveda’s insights into personalized medicine offered a unique way to align body, mind and spirit with practical, daily interventions that fostered life-long sustainable health, even in the face of chronic disease. She began to evolve a mission of instilling true health into our healthcare systems.

Following a year of intensive Ayurvedic training and nursing school at Drexel University, she worked 8 years of inpatient nursing focused on the underserved population of inner-city Seattle. She returned to the University of Washington for her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in order to effect larger systemic changes in the practice of medicine. Functional Medicine became part of her practice with certification in 2014.

In every patient visit, she is committed to hearing the full story and treating the root cause of disease, dysfunction and discomfort to ensure the most capable citizens can contribute to a generous and mindful society. We know that 90% of health is determined outside the clinician’s office with diet, lifestyle, mental patterns and economic equity.

We also have plenty of evidence that more of the same traditional care will not improve our health outcomes. How do we institutionalize true health, empower systems to meet us where we are at and transition our health to a better place? This is the next revolution and to participate, we each need to be healthy enough to contribute.

Follow up visit - $400 hourly

Focused pain consultation - $300 for 45 minute

  • Dr. Squires’s goal is to limit the impact of disease and degeneration while restoring the body through the integration of cutting-edge modern medicine, science, and technology with the wisdom of traditional medicine providing the most efficient and effective therapies the field of naturopathic and regenerative medicine has to offer.

As a naturopathic doctor specializing in integrative and regenerative medicine, I utilize the healing power of nature by recognizing and promoting an inherent self-healing process and removing any obstacles prohibiting the body to heal.

My training emphasizes individualized medicine focusing on addressing the root cause of pain and imbalance. Therapies will support the body’s need to detoxify, modulate inflammation, strengthen the digestive system, balance hormones, regulate the nervous system and build a healthy immune system, which are all cornerstones to maximizing healing and maintaining health.

Emphasis will be put on educating patients so they can be in charge of their own health and healing. I want to collaborate with patients to eliminate or decrease pain and illness allowing them to live less inhibited and freer.

  • Dr. Carley Squires is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor receiving her Naturopathic Doctorate and her Master of Science in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Bastyr University.

Dr. Squires specializes in integrative neurology, chronic pain, sports medicine, hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD/EDS), craniocervical instability (CCI), dysautonomia, autoimmunity, and MCAS/immune dysregulation.

She is licensed as a Naturopathic Physician and an Acupuncturist in Washington state and is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the American Academy of Regenerative Medicine, the advanced regenerative medicine institute, the Acupuncture Association of Washington, and the American Association of Restorative Medicine. She is currently part of an Integrative Neurology Fellowship program through AARM.

  • Over 400 years ago, alchemist and physician Paracelsus said, “All substances are poisons; there is none that is not a poison. The right dose differentiates a poison from a remedy.” Similarly, the sutras of Ayurveda state, “Everything can be medicine; everything can be poison.” This, in essence, is my treatment philosophy. To me, integrative medicine represents the potent alchemy between rigorous, pioneering scientific research and the quiet, ageless wisdom of traditional medical systems. This admixture provides modern medicine with the most effective therapies available. I work collaboratively with medical providers of all disciplines in solidarity and service to the patient in front of me.

As a naturopathic and Ayurvedic physician, I utilize the power of nature to facilitate intrinsic healing processes, addressing the root causes of imbalance in the body-mind-spirit. By diving deep, we expose the underlying roots of distress in order to uproot and fully eradicate (or integrate) them. Through the lens of psychoneuroimmunology and psychoneuroendocrinology, I take a top-down approach, focusing on the nervous system as the conduit, the master regulator of all other regulatory systems within the body. This is transformative medicine.

Health is our greatest asset, and often the most elusive. As a teacher, I collaborate with every one of my patients, always facilitating greater awareness and understanding. The Path to Self-discovery (and recovery) can be lonely; I’m here so you don’t have to go it alone. I am simply a guide, a friend, a signpost along the Path of your own healing journey… your journey home. When we discover how to follow our own inner compass, healing becomes limitless. Freedom — liberation from suffering — is the ultimate goal, and we can go so much farther when we walk together.

Anuj Khattar, MD

Family Practice, Integrative and Functional Medicine

    • Gut Health

    • Lifecycle Medicine

    • Medicine for the Mind & Head

Please see below for more detailed lists of conditions

  • Initial visit - $500 for 60 minutes

Follow up visit - $250 for 30 minutes

  • Dr Anuj Khattar is a Family Practice MD who has traveled the country providing reproductive care to women. After witnessing child abuse in the emergency room during his training, he chose this specialty to prevent that by supporting women to be in charge of their bodies, including their reproductive choices. He found he loves doing this work because of the deep listening it requires. Dr Khattar has learned from his patients that abortion is never a decision taken lightly. Behind every decision is a carefully weighed thought process to go this route. He notes 90% of abortions occur in the first trimester (12-14 weeks) when the abortion pill (mifepristone and misoprostol) is safe and effective, and that the majority of abortions are women who are already mothers; these are women who are making an informed decision.
